Side Impact Protection
This is a key feature of the Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 car seat. Working in conjunction with our softly padded, five-point safety harness, the SIP feature helps to protect your child’s head and body.
This Side Impact Protection is achieved thanks to several beneficial features all working as one; the shell, the base and the safety harness all coordinate with extra-large wings on either side of the headrest that connect to the backpad. These wings are reinforced with high-impact plastic, covered with EPS foam padding and actually extend beyond the shell of the car seat, cushioning your child’s head and offering comprehensive Side Impact Protection. In fact, the Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 exceeds the most stringent SIP safety test in the world.
It is important to note, though, that there is not yet a Side Impact Protection standard for the United States. But, because of our company’s long-standing Italian heritage and commitment to safety, Peg Perego is able to have this car seat tested in a German facility that operates as part of the Euro NCAP (New Car Assessment Program). The results? The Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 passed these rigorous European tests with flying colors.
The entire SIP assembly is easily adjustable, so it can grow as your child grows.
Strong…yet soft!
The durable, solid frame of the Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 and the co-injected latch plates in the base of the seat provide extra security, while the breathable, ultra-soft Confort-dry microfiber upholstery is incredibly gentle on baby’s skin.
